The digital Project «Measuring Ghettos: Grodno – Cernăuți – Chișinău» is in full development, continuing with the second day of the introductory seminary on the 10th October 2020. Young participants from the Republic of Moldova had a great discussion with Irina Shikhova, expert in the domain of Jewish history in Moldova. Amongst many interesting discussed subjects, some of those were the history of Chișinău Ghetto and of the people that were sent there, questions about the total number of Holocaust victims in Bessarabia, the history of Jewish Bessarabian community before the beginning of Second World War etc.
In the second half of the day, the participants of the project learned together with Olga Gnadkova, journalist at NewsMaker, about the different formats of multimedia journalism (interview, longread, podcasts, online and video reportages etc.). The students also had the chance to improve their abilities in writing interesting texts for their peers and a wider public overall.
