The second project day started with the lecture about the history of the local ghetto, held by the head of the museum of Jewish history and culture in Bukovina Mykola Kushnir. The participants learned about the establishment of the local ghetto and watch the interviews of the holocaust survivors and their descendants. The historian showed a set of archival documents, maps, photos, and articles of local media of that historical period.
The teacher of Chernivtsi school 41 Natalia Herasym presented didactic materials on the Holocaust and ghetto. The speaker demonstrated a video testimony of an eyewitness and discussed with the historical value and objectiveness of this source the audience. The participants tested their knowledge of the Jewish history in form of a digital game, which the teacher used during her school classes.
Еhe project day was closed by the associate professors of journalism at Chernivtsi National University. Roman Paziuk conducted a master class on genres of modern mass media - podcasts, slideshows, caption videos, etc. Liliia Shutiak told the journalists how to prepare for an interview, act during the conversation and what to do with the collected material.
